Google Apps to limit free accounts starting May 10th

Anyone looking to sign up for Google Apps for their start-up better do it now before they hobble it.  I currently have 4 start-up projects using it and it's really good.  Why any small business would pay for Microsoft Exchange is beyond me.  For under 50 users (and even beyond) Google Apps is great and the price is right ... FREE!!!

Hello,

We recently announced upcoming changes to the maximum number of users for Google Apps. We want to let you know that, as a current customer, the changes will not affect you.

As of May 10, any organization that signs up for a new account will be required to use the paid Google Apps for Business product in order to create more than 10 users. We honor our commitment to all existing customers and will allow you to add more than 10 users to your account for aaaaa at no additional charge, based on the limit in place when you joined us.

Sincerely,

The Google Apps Team

Awesome iPad 2 functionality

So I bought an iPad 2 recently (yeah yeah... I'm late to the whole tablet computing game).  So far, it's a really good device.  I do find myself having to come up with excuses to use it versus using my laptop.  I might have to force myself to keep the laptop in the bag for an extended period of time to see if I can go exclusively with the iPad.

On another note, some amazing functionality from some enterprising individuals using the iPad 2's front facing camera.  This is inspired by Johnny Lee's original head tracking project for the Wii (equally cool).  Apple and its developers need to find a way to incorporate this into the new apps.

Some color on Color ... don't hate, just appreciate. #Color

Lots of backlash regarding the news that Color got a $41M funding for a pre-launch product in a very crowded space. I am somewhat biased in that two of the founders are Vietnamese and I always root for my peeps. The app itself is slick and well put together. Actual true utility won't come until there is mass adoption which will take time (hence the 41M bones). And don't hate because they were able to get $41M. If nothing, that's a testament to how great a team they have that a bunch of VCs would give them that much money with ZERO adoption. Let's judge them in 3 months, 6 months, a year from now. If they still don't have the adoption then let the hate rain down.
